How is it applied?

Electroacupuncture is a combination of technology and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and is done without needles. It is performed with a machine that energetically measures the meridians and interprets the results by the alternative therapist.

Subsequently, through the machine, appropriate acupuncture points are activated to bring energetic balance to the body. The selection of points is based on the therapeutic goal and the points suggested by the machine.

Electroacupuncture doesn’t hurt. It shouldn’t hurt, so that we allow the acupuncture points to open and receive energy. That’s why we communicate throughout the session, so that the recipient doesn’t feel pain, but also feels the energy where needed.

How does it differ from simple acupuncture?

Electroacupuncture differs from classical acupuncture, primarily in that it’s done without needles. Instead, the machine creates a closed circuit, and safe, very low voltage current activates the acupuncture points. While the use of needles is typically legally allowed only by doctors, electroacupuncture is done without needles and can be applied by alternative therapists.

Secondly, the machine offers the ability for the user to find the acupuncture point with 100% accuracy. While a classical acupuncturist must be highly knowledgeable about the points to be effective, the machine ensures this factor for us.

Thirdly, electroacupuncture surpasses acupuncture in that the current not only activates the acupuncture points but also moves the chi. The movement of chi brings healing to our body, making it even more effective.

IT IS EMPHASIZED that the alternative therapist DOES NOT REPLACE ANY other health professional. She does not diagnose, nor does she replace medical, psychological, or other types of treatment and examinations. On the contrary, her role is to collaborate with other health professionals (e.g., doctors, physiotherapists, psychologists) for the benefit of the recipient. The alternative therapist activates the body’s self-healing system.
