Different or Unique? To us, Unique!
Every person is special! We don’t resemble anyone else. Within our uniqueness we discover ourselves and stand out. And that is our beauty. Through my work, through my interactions with people, through my touch, I sometimes sense and see each person’s differences and other times your uniqueness. As I grow older, I notice the distinct qualities in each one of you more and more. Where does the difference lie between being different and being unique?
The word “different” contains within it the opposite of similarity. It carries the tendency to want others to change and become alike. Behind all that hides judgment. I judge when I notice how someone differs from me.
The word “unique” transcends similarities and differences. It recognizes the singular, distinctive personality of each person. My work gives me lessons in maturity so that I can ultimately recognize everyone’s uniqueness.
My touch, together with my experience, has given me the maturity to fall silent in order to feel your bodies. I touch you and sense your emotional and physical condition. By offering my services, I feel you and I also feel myself. That way I experience both my own uniqueness and your uniqueness.
When I welcome you, during the session, in your overall care and at your farewell, I am here and I listen to you. I touch you and feel you. I get to know you. Through my interactions and through my touch, I come to know myself and my uniqueness. That is how I recognize you and your uniqueness!
